Larkin Fork Floods

The mountains provide a micro-climate that brings more annual rainfall than the surrounding cities. A few times a year the Larkin Fork will leave its banks and cover some of the land with about 12 inches of water. We see that as a good thing. The silt it leaves behind enriches the grazing pastures and purges the river banks of debris. We assume there must be some poor soul at the end of the creek that has way more tree limbs than he can handle. The bank pictured below is 10 feet above the water line.
